Dr. Medford was one of the first ophthalmologist in the Morristown and West Orange area to offer local, outpatient, topical, no-injection, anesthesia for cataract surgery which allowed his patients to return home within 1 hour after the procedure. Dr. Medford has performed LASIK surgery for 20 years, since the 1st month it was FDA approved!

For almost 5 years, he has offered LASER enhanced LenSx Cataract surgery   at the Ridgedale Surgical Center for the benefit of his patients.

Dr. Medford is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a comprehensive ophthalmologist specialized in the treatment and diagnosis of cataracts, glaucoma, and many other diseases of the eye. Dr. Medford performs surgery when necessary for these conditions, including:

-  The latest intraocular lens technology in his cataract surgeries, such as Toric IQ® lenses for astigmatism;-

-  The multifocal lenses Symfony®, ReStor® and PanOptix®, which offer patients distance and enhanced mid/near vision after cataract surgery.

-  Selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT), an office laser procedure used to control glaucoma;

- LASIK surgery for patients who wish to reduce or eliminate the need for their eyeglass and contact lenses.
