About Dr. Hade
Jason Hade, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has cared for patients in Northern New Jersey for over a decade, providing comprehensive medical and surgical eye care for patients of all ages. Raised in Denville, Dr. Hade returned to his hometown to open Hade Eye Care in 2011. That practice is now part of Affiliated Eye Surgeons, and he continues to care for patients at the Denville office, offering comprehensive eye exams, contact lens care, glaucoma management, diabetic eye care, dry eye treatment, and the medical management of a wide range of eye conditions.
Dr. Hade graduated magna cum laude from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he majored in biology with a minor in chemistry, played on the Men's Varsity tennis team, and was selected for a study-abroad program in Venice, Italy. After graduating, he spent several years working as a scientist in research and development at an immunodiagnostic company before pursuing medicine.
He earned his medical degree from UMDNJ–New Jersey Medical School, where he was inducted into two prestigious honor societies: Alpha Omega Alpha, awarded to the top 10% of students for academic achievement, and the Gold Humanism Honor Society, awarded for excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion, and dedication to service. Dr. Hade completed a transitional year internship at Morristown Memorial Hospital and Overlook Hospital before returning to New Jersey Medical School to complete his residency in Ophthalmology and Ophthalmic Surgery at The Institute of Ophthalmology and Visual Science.
Following residency, Dr. Hade practiced for two years at a private practice before opening Hade Eye Care in 2011. He maintains active membership in the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and has presented research at national ophthalmology meetings. Dr. Hade holds full staff privileges at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ.

Dr. Hade lives in Morris County. Outside the office, he enjoys playing tennis, weight training, cooking, and spending time with his wife and children.
